Hillcrest Couples Retreat specialises in peaceful, romantic & affordable luxury getaways at Crystal Creek in the beautiful Tweed Valley, Northern NSW for a maximum of only 3 couples.
If you're planning a weekend getaway, honeymoon or romantic retreat to the Mt Warning area of Northern NSW, between the Gold Coast hinterland and Byron Bay then you can't go past multi tourism award winning Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat in the beautiful Tweed Valley on the NSW/QLD Border.
Offering getaway accommodation for up to a maximum of only 3 couples, Hillcrest Retreat offers panoramic views from Mount Warning to the rainforests and Mountains of Springbrook and the Cougal ranges, luxury double spa baths, split system a/c and ceiling fans for summer comfort (fireplaces for winter), solar heated salt-water swimming pool, massage and jolly good food including crusty home-made bread and home grown free-range eggs.
Guests can choose to stay in one of our 2 luxury bed and breakfast suites in the private guest wing of the main house, or our peaceful honeymoon spa cottage in it's own private rainforest garden.
B&B guests can expect all the service of a small private hotel that caters for only 2 couples, whilst having their privacy respected at all times, whilst Cottage guests are left completely alone to enjoy the peace and ambience of their own private rain-forest world ~ although one of your hosts is usually not too far away if you need them.

Our separate Bed and Breakfast wing has a private air-conditioned guest lounge opening to a charming central atrium with tropical plants, fishpond and resident Green Tree Frogs during the warmer months. With open fire-place, beverage making facilities and comfortable recliner chairs, the guest lounge is a perfect spot to relax, read a book, listen to music or plan the days activities at any time of the year. Both B&B Suites have their own individually controlled split system a/c and ceiling fans, tv/dvd players and ensuite bathrooms ~ one with double spa bath and one with full size ordinary bath ~ both with separate showers, robes, candles and selection of toiletries ~ everything you need for your couples getaway weekend or longer stay.
Cottage guests have their own fully equipped kitchen, gas bbq, split system r/c air-conditioning and ceiling fans for summer comfort, and real wood fire (firewood provided during winter) for winter romance. The Cottage bedroom is separate from the lounge, has plenty of wardrobe space and walks through to a large ensuite with top of the range luxury double spa bath and separate shower. Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast & Self Contained Cottage is located in beautiful Crystal Creek via Murwillumbah, near the New South Wales/Queensland Border in the Tweed Valley, also known as the Tweed Coast hinterland region of Northern Rivers NSW.
A perfect spot for romance, Hillcrest is just 40
minutes drive from Gold Coast airport, 75 minutes from Brisbane and 45 minutes from Byron Bay but a world away in peace and ambience.
As our name suggests, we're perched atop a hill to take in the breath-taking views from Springbrook to Mount Warning as well as enjoy the cooling summer breezes. However we also have split system reverse cycle air-conditioning throughout, for those odd hot days when doing it the "natural way" is just not enough for true comfort.
The gazebo by the pool looks out across 2 lilly-filled dams to the rainforests of Springbrook National Park and the Border Range between NSW and QLD.
Main house guest rooms open to a large verandah which looks across the rolling green pastures of a 200 acre farm to Mt Warning - the eroded central "plug" of the world's largest extinct shield volcano and the spot where the dawn sun first touches the East Coast of Australia. Whilst our self contained Cottage is set in its own private and secluded garden with spectacular views in all directions.
Main house bed and breakfast guests have our full country style breakfast, including home-made bread (gluten free on request) and our own free-range eggs, included in their Cost.
If you choose to stay in our self contained cottage you can choose to either self-cater, which includes having the cottage stocked with light breakfast provisions for your arrival (included in base rate), have your fully equipped kitchen stocked with our full Brunch Basket option or come to the main house to be served breakfast (extra charge).
