If you were thinking of a honeymoon destination such as the Gold Coast hinterland, Byron Bay or perhaps somewhere in South East Queensland, why not think outside the square and consider the beautiful and romantic Tweed Valley for your honeymoon or romantic getaway instead?
Located just 35 minutes drive south of Gold Coast airport, 75 minutes south of Brisbane and offering affordable luxury for a maximum of only 3 couples, Hillcrest is perfect for a romantic honeymoon near Mt Warning and the rainforests of Northern NSW without the crowds of larger honeymoon destinations.
We can even arrange for you to have a private and personalised photo-shoot at Hillcrest as a memento of your romantic getaway. Once you tire of relaxing by our solar heated salt-water swimming pool and admiring the views, Hillcrest is centrally located to five world heritage listed National Parks, including Mt Warning, the eroded central plug of the world's largest extinct shield volcano, and a range of activities for you to enjoy during your stay. Clive and Tracy offer local expertise and a host of on-site tourist information to help you plan the best things to see and do whilst in the area. Whilst Hillcrest specialises in peaceful, romantic getaways and honeymoons, we can also cater for very small weddings to a maximum of 6 people in total (sorry no children - which includes babies). We don't charge a fee for use of Hillcrest as a wedding venue, however we MUST have advance notice and both B&B rooms and the Cottage must be booked by the wedding party for at least 2 nights ~ which means the property will be entirely yours. Offering a range of stunning photographic backdrops (as well as the odd cheeky pony or two!) for wedding photos, very small wedding parties book both B&B rooms and the Cottage so that they have the entire venue to themselves for maximum relaxation and wedding photo opportunities. Please be aware that Hillcrest only caters for very small weddings, from one couple (with your hosts as witnesses) to a maximum of 3 couples - so if you are planning a big wedding, then Hillcrest is more suitable as your honeymoon destination. For larger weddings taking place at another venue, we're happy for pre-wedding photos to be taken on the property provided both B&B rooms and the cottage have been booked for at least 2 nights by the wedding party. Please also be aware that we can only cater for very limited numbers and that non-resident visitors to the property is strictly by advance arrangement and permission from hosts (children of any age will not be permitted as our insurance does not cover children on the property).

Vibrant Imaging Photography will come to Hillcrest to take your wedding or pre-wedding photographs ~ although the informal ones featured on this page were taken by us. Naturally you're free to organise your own photographer if you wish.  After the hectic wedding preparations and excitement of the "big day", you can saunter the gardens and allow the spectacular views from Mt Warning to the rainforests of Springbrook Ranges to soothe and relax you. Both Brides and Grooms enjoy pampering with a relaxing massage by our expert masseuse in our quiet Massage Room, the gazebo by the pool or the peace of their own private air-conditioned cottage. Sip Champagne with your Beloved in the hammock outside your room or the privacy of your honeymoon cottage rainforest garden. Listen to the night birds call as you gaze in awe at the millions of Stars in the clear night sky or take a mid-night swim in the warm green-lit waters of our solar-heated pool.
