Please note:  the drive from Coffs Harbour to Murwillumbah is approximately 4 hours (allowing rest stops). From Sydney to Coffs Harbour is approximately 5 hours, so plan to stay overnight in the Coffs area (Bellingen is close-by however we can highly recommend The Waterside in Coffs Harbour)  rather than drive straight through to Murwillumbah.

There are connecting flights from Sydney to the Gold Coast airport (previously known as Coolangatta airport) at Tweed ~ which is less than 40 minutes by car from Hillcrest. Brisbane international airport is approximately 1½ hours from Hillcrest by car.  We can help organise a hire car to meet you at either Coolangatta or Gold Coast airport or for you to pickup in Murwillumbah.

There's a great deal to see and do in the Tweed Valley ~ home to the world's largest extinct shield volcano and 5 of Australia's World Heritage listed National Parks ~ so plan to stay for at least 3 days, a week would be better. Remember ~ other, more publicised areas, show photos of Mt Warning and call themselves "the gateway to the rainforests", but in the Tweed you have actually arrived!

Take the Tweed Valley Way Turnoff (Highway 40) off of Pacific Highway (Highway 1) to Murwillumbah.
Take the Town Centre Turnoff at the Roundabout and Drive Straight Through Town.
Take Tourist Route 34 Towards Chillingham & Numinbah.
Take the Upper Crystal Creek Turnoff by the Miniature Horse Stud.
Hillcrest is 1.67 Km along Upper Crystal Creek Road on the Left Hand Side
