Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat specialises in peaceful & romantic getaways for a maximum of only 3 couples. One couple in our romantic and secluded hideaway cottage, with another two couples accommodated in our two B&B suites in the private guest wing of the main house.

At Hillcrest it's all about the stunning, beautiful and convenient location, peace, quiet and relaxation. Whilst we're not necessarily the cheapest destination, our guests tell us we offer the best value for money when compared to other bed and breakfasts and spa cottages in our area.

Located high on a hill, on a peaceful (tarmac sealed) no-thru road in beautiful Upper Crystal Creek, just 12 minutes from Murwillumbah, 35 minutes from Gold Coast Airport, 75 minutes from Brisbane & 45 minutes from Byron Bay in beautiful Northern NSW. On 5 landscaped acres in the middle of a 165 acre grazing farm, you can feel like you're in the middle of nowhere with the peace and quiet of a beautiful country-side location, but be central to 5 world heritage listed national parks, horse riding, golf, galleries, markets, untouched rainforests, pristine beaches and more.

Hillcrest romantic self contained honeymoon spa cottage was custom built to offer peaceful and romantic accommodation for one couple only. Offering a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioned lounge with real wood fire, flat screen tv, dvd, stereo system and double glass sliding doors to a large verandah with gas BBQ and comfortable garden furniture.

The separate QS Bedroom, with double glass windows looking directly to Mt Warning, walks through to a large ensuite bathroom with top of the range, luxury double jacuzzi spa bath and separate shower.

Hillcrest Cottage has all the comforts of home for couples who like to stay longer and cook for themselves, however all linen, towels, pool towels, bath-robes, candles, seasonal firewood etc. are supplied for your perfect romantic getaway weekend or longer stay.

Hillcrest Bed & Breakfast Suites ~ like a small, private hotel catering for only 2 couples

Built in the shape of a square dough-nut around a charming central atrium with decorative fishpond and resident green tree frogs during the warmer months and open fireplace for winter cosiness, Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat Bed & Breakfast offers peaceful and romantic accommodation to two couples in a private guest wing of Clive and Tracy's main residence.

Televisions and dvds are provided to both bedrooms in the main house, whilst the separate guest lounge, which opens to the peaceful central atrium, has been set up as a quiet reading area.  Here you'll find stereo system (including CD Player), selection of CDs, books, games, dvds, as well as a stocked guest fridge and 24 hour tea/coffee making facilities ~ a range of teas, coffee and a selection of herbal beverages are provided with our compliments.

As a maximum of only 2 couples have the guest wing to themselves, with the massage room and entrance hall separating the two bedrooms, Hillcrest is more private than most "traditional" B&Bs.

Breakfast at Hillcrest is an event with home-made bread and our own free-range eggs ~ however if you prefer to self-cater then please see details on our romantic Honeymoon Spa Cottage.
