The Tweed Valley in the beautiful Tweed Coast hinterland is a perfect place to spend the Christmas holidays. At Hillcrest Mountain View Retreat we cater for only 3 couples ~ two in a private guest wing of the main house B&B and another one couple in our separate, fully self-contained holiday cottage which is located about 50  metres from the main residence in its own secluded garden behind the pool area for maximum privacy.

The cottage is ideal for longer holidays as it has a fully equipped kitchen as well as gas BBQ on the verandah - and did we mention the top of the range luxury double jacuzzi spa bath with views through a large picture window across rolling green hills to Mt Warning in the distance.

Both the main house private guest wing and the Cottage are fully air-conditioned with split system, reverse cycle air-conditioning so guests can control their preferred temperature.

Please note that there is a 3 night minimum minimum for the Xmas and New Year period, with a two night minimum for the remainder of December and January.

Christmas Eve

Arrive after lunch and relax by the pool or do some exploring in one of the five world heritage listed National Parks in the area.

Home-made mince pies for afternoon tea. Perhaps enjoy a massage in the gazebo by the pool.

Port and "something chocolate" when you return from dining in town (main house only).

Christmas Day

Full country style breakfast
(optional for cottage guests):

fresh fruit platter - depending on what's good at the market or it may be home-bottled or poached fruit with waffles, choice of juice, choice of cereals followed by the "full monty" English breakfast with our own free-range eggs, or our own free range eggs cooked to your liking ~  how about scrambled with smoked salmon?

Next it's fresh home-baked bread toasted with home-made jams and marmalades and of course there's fresh ground Coffee, tea or herbal beverage. 

Xmas Lunch (optional)

Informal BBQ by the Pool followed by Home-made Xmas Pud
Prawns or other seafood by advance arrangement (extra cost)

Bonny the Shetland Pony and little Gingernut Biscuit, the miniature pony. Big old Larry (pictured centre) is no longer with us (RIP March 2012), he's buried standing up on the farm next door.

Boxing Day

Another full country style breakfast (main house included, Cottage optional) and then the day free to enjoy our beautiful area as you wish.

Perhaps you'd prefer to climb Mt Warning? Relax on the beach, play a round of Golf, take the vehicle for a spin at the local 4WD School or enjoy a drive out to take in the sights? Whatever you choose on your return to Hillcrest why not enjoy a swim in our solar-heated pool, a relaxing massage or an afternoon nap?

After dining out at one of the many local restaurants, return to Hillcrest, collapse into your hammock or comfortable bed and snooze happily.

For your last morning why not enjoy breakfast on your verandah or perhaps in the gazebo by the pool? Check-out Time 10:30am NSW Time. Make sure you stay for long enough to take the time to really explore the beautiful Tweed region at your leisure.
